The general public, particularly residents of La Plaine/La Ronde are informed that on Monday, January 9, 2017 the under-mentioned candidates were elected to the La Plaine/La Ronde Village Council: -
1. Kirvin Bateau - 248 votes
2. Jason Fontaine - 239 votes
3. Ella Laudat - 229 votes
4. Asha Laronde - 222 votes
Rose Blaize and Onika Allan tied in fifth place (5th) with 211 votes.
The other candidates received votes as follows: -
1. Moses Prosper - 184 votes
2. Cameron Warrington - 171 votes
3. Bernadine Dumas - 144 votes
4. Jessinta Durand - 141 votes
5. Elkin Vigilante - 99 votes
6. Alvin James - 60 votes
486 or 32.38% of the electorate voted, of which 278 or 57.20% were male and 208 or 42.80% were female.
