ELECTORAL OFFICE
Applications are invited from suitable qualified individuals for the position of Assistant Chief Elections Officer at the Electoral Office.
Summary of position
Under the supervision of the Chief Elections Officer, the Assistant Chief Elections Officer

Assist in the conduct of Local Government and Parliamentary Elections.

Supervise and facilitate the process of registration of qualified electors.

Assist in the coordination of activities to facilitate the ID Card System.
-
Co-ordinate and facilitate training programmes for staff and electoral workers.

Co-ordinate the activities of the Electoral Commission and regional and international affiliates.

Provides support for effective performance management of the Electoral Office.

Provides supervisory functions of the Electoral Office operations.
Job Requirement
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Management or related field
Experience: Three (3) years
Skills and Knowledge

Excellent Communication skills, both oral and written

Ability provide guidance to subordinates

Strong technical/ financial proficiencies and knowledge of strategic and financial processes.

Must be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Knowledge of Public Service Rules and Regulations, Public Service Act, House of Assembly (Elections) Act, House of Assembly (Disqualifications) Act, Registration of Electors Act, Local Government Acts, Financial Rules and Regulations, Government Accounting Procedures.

Skilled in report preparation and writing.
Salary
Compensation will be in the Public Service Salary scale of 8-5, $43, 743.00- $49, 640.88 per annum. Basic Travel Allowance of $8,685.60 per annum with payment of $2.60 per mile travelled.
